I may have cancelled FabFitFun, but I’m still in it to win it with Rachel Zoe’s Box of Style. I finally got my box and complaints about delayed delivery aside, I was still pretty excited about every single thing that was in it. More so than expected.
The box presentation, in general, is pretty on point. Each item is individually wrapped in tissue paper, which makes opening each item feel a little bit like Christmas morning.
The unboxing started with what I considered to be one of the most anticipated items – the Box Clutch designed by Rachel Zoe herself. You could choose from black or pearl, and I picked pearl because it looked so classy and stunning in the photos. It didn’t disappoint!
Next up were the House of Harlow Mesa Earrings. I was a bit dubious about these from the photos because they are ENORMOUS. I’m all for a statement necklace, but statement earrings, not so much. That being said, I’ve been wearing earrings more and more this year, and getting into larger and funkier styles. And frankly, when I put these on, I 100% loved them. I’ve just gotta find the right outfit for them, I guess.
The Unreal Faux Fur Stole is also quite nice. I’d be more excited about it, but I just invested in a real fur infinity scarf that I have been wearing constantly. It’s amazing. But this stole is also quite nice and sits nicely (snug your neck, flat on your chest) when you put it on. No muss, no fuss, which is not always the case with these things.
I’m not a make-up wearer beyond some mascara, but I might give the Tarte Sex Kitten Liquid Liner a try next time I feel like dressing up. I’ve been trying to do a little better about keeping my skin hydrated so I was a little bit more curious to try the Osea Essential Hydrating Oil. I’m always a little cautious of things like this because I’m always afraid it’ll make me breakout. But my skin gets so dry in the winter, it’ll probably be fine. It has a nice feel to it, but it has a not unpleasant, but very strong smell so I’ll probably use it sparingly.
And last but not least, the Sugar Paper Agenda. I was surprised by how much I like this. I’m a bullet journal girl. My bullet journals are nothing fancy – no drawing or doodling for me. I decided to start bullet journaling mostly because most organizers that I find don’t work for the way that I like to do my daily to-do lists and note-taking. Bullet journaling allowed me to create my own style of journal and it really works for me. But looking through the Sugar Paper Agenda, it’s as if this organizer was made with me in mind. The daily pages have plenty of space for my to-do lists. There is an extra page at the back of each month section for notes and also an extra area in the back with additional notes pages. I think I’m going to have to give this one a go. Frankly, I can always go back to bullet journaling.
In one word, how do I feel about
my Winter 2017 Box of Style?
